This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") applies to your access to and use of Halesis services. In this AUP, "Halesis", "we", "us", and "our" refer to the Halesis services. This AUP is incorporated into the Halesis Terms of Use ("Terms"). By accessing or using the Services, you agree to this AUP where it applies. Capitalized terms not defined here have the meanings in the Terms.

This AUP applies to the Halesis website, Console, APIs, models, software, documentation, and related services (collectively, the "Services"), including Inputs, Customer Content, and Outputs. You are responsible for ensuring that Authorized Users and Customer Applications comply with this AUP.

Prohibited Use

You may not use, or permit others to use, the Services to:

• violate applicable laws, regulations, court orders, sanctions, or export controls;
• infringe, misappropriate, or violate another person's intellectual property, privacy, publicity, confidentiality, or other rights;
• create, distribute, or facilitate malware, spyware, ransomware, phishing, credential theft, or other malicious code or activity;
• gain unauthorized access to, probe, disrupt, damage, or interfere with any system, account, network, data, or service;
• evade authentication, security controls, rate limits, usage limits, or access restrictions, or interfere with the integrity or availability of the Services;
• engage in fraud, impersonation, deceptive practices, or unauthorized surveillance;
• submit personal information or other sensitive information without the rights, notices, permissions, and lawful basis required by applicable law;
• use Outputs or the Services as the sole basis for decisions with legal or similarly significant effects on a person, without appropriate human review and safeguards;
• generate or disseminate content or instructions intended to facilitate violence, exploitation, abuse, or other unlawful harm;
• use the Services to develop, train, or improve a competing model or service where prohibited by applicable product terms or technical restrictions; or
• resell, sublicense, or make the Services available to others except as expressly authorized by applicable terms.

Responsible Use

You must evaluate Outputs for accuracy, suitability, and potential third-party rights before relying on or distributing them. You must provide appropriate human review and safeguards for applications that may affect a person's rights, safety, access to essential services, or other material interests. Do not represent AI-generated content as human-created where doing so would be deceptive or violate applicable law.

You must promptly secure compromised credentials, report suspected vulnerabilities or abuse to [email protected], and reasonably cooperate with efforts to investigate or mitigate misuse.

Enforcement

We may investigate suspected violations and may remove content, limit features, suspend access, or terminate access as reasonably necessary to enforce this AUP, protect users or the Services, or comply with law. Where reasonably practicable, we will provide notice and an opportunity to appeal a suspension under the process described in the Terms. We may act without prior notice where necessary to address an immediate legal, security, or safety risk.

This AUP does not limit any rights that cannot legally be excluded or limited in your jurisdiction. If this AUP conflicts with a separately executed enterprise agreement, Order Form, DPA, or product-specific terms, the order of precedence in the Terms applies.
